Our Program Director - Kulli Bloom, RN, MSN, MPA 

       

Kulli recently moved to the Berkshires from the metrowest area between Boston and Worcester. She has a private practice as a nurse care manager for older adults, specializing in helping seniors find solutions to the challenges of aging, particularly when they lack sufficient family support. Kulli has previously worked as the Executive Director of an assisted living community, as a Program Director in a visiting nurses' association, and as the Director of a volunteer program for children in a behavioral health facility. She is a volunteer nurse at Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) in Great Barrington, she volunteered with Hospice of Central Iowa for seven years, and she is starting a new position as a Volunteer Community Educator for the Alzheimers Association. Kulli holds a Masters in the Science of Nursing (MSN) degree from the University of Iowa and Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She lives in Great Barrington with her partner, Michael, their cat "Meow Meow" and an opposum that makes himself at home on the porch.

Kulli's responsibilities as Program Director include the following:

1. Develop and administrate process to respond to telephone/email inquiries for assistance and respond to member service requests for volunteers or service providers. 

2. Support all activities associated with the Board of Directors and committees.

3. Assure timely response to all member requests (telephonic or web-based) for services or assistance, providing direct response when volunteers are not available.

4. Coordinate member information and referral system including database maintenance.

5. Be responsible for Villages website and database. 

6. Assist in response to requests for information regarding membership, volunteering, and contractor services.

7. Collaborate with Board of Directors and related Committees with meeting schedules, venues and meeting materials.

8. Work with Board of Directors and related Committees to evaluate and change as necessary member benefits, volunteer services and service contractors.

9. Responsible for relationships with other organizations and promote Villages in the Berkshires in the community and with key community leaders.
